1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RuralMatch Australia (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. About RuralMatch

RuralMatch Australia is an online platform that connects workers with employers in regional and remote Australia. We also provide information, tools, and resources to help workers navigate life and work in Australia. We are not an employment agency, recruiter, migration agent, or legal advisor.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Australia (or be an employer legally registered to engage workers in Australia) to use the Platform. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is true and accurate.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to abuse trials or promotions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

5. Worker Use

Workers may use the Platform free of charge to create a profile, apply for jobs, save jobs, and access resources. Workers are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, the suitability of jobs they apply for, and any arrangements made directly with employers.

6. Employer Use & Paid Services

Employers may post jobs after subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing a one-off listing. Pricing and plans are listed on our Pricing page and may change. Employers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings, for paying workers correctly under Australian law, and for any workplace obligations.

7. Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. One-off listings and boosted listings are non-refundable once activated. Subscriptions may be refunded only where required by Australian Consumer Law.

8. Content & Conduct

You agree not to post or share content that is:

  • False, misleading, or deceptive
  • Discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or obscene
  • In breach of Australian employment, immigration, or consumer law
  • Infringing on third-party intellectual property or privacy
  • Spam, scams, or recruitment to unrelated services without consent

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion if we believe these Terms have been breached.

9. No Employment Relationship

RuralMatch does not employ workers, does not guarantee the suitability or conduct of any employer or worker, and does not verify every job posting or applicant. Any employment relationship is strictly between the worker and the employer.

10. Information Disclaimer

Information on the Platform — including the Harvest Calendar, 88-Day Visa guides, New to Australia resources, and Worker Rights pages — is general information only. It is not legal, migration, financial, or medical advice. Always check official Australian Government sources or seek professional advice for your specific situation.

11. Sponsored Content

Some content or partner listings may be sponsored. We always clearly label sponsored content. See our Sponsored Content Disclosure for more information.

12. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, text, and branding, is owned by RuralMatch Australia. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without written permission. Content you upload remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Platform.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RuralMatch is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, employment outcomes, or third-party content. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
