Worker Terms
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These Worker Terms apply in addition to our general Terms & Conditions when you create a worker profile and use RuralMatch Australia to find work.
1. Free for workers
Workers can use RuralMatch free of charge. We do not charge fees for creating a profile, applying for jobs, saving jobs, or accessing the Harvest Calendar, New to Australia resources, or Worker Rights pages.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be legally entitled to work in Australia at the time you apply for any job.
- You are responsible for understanding your visa conditions, including work-hour limits, sponsorship rules, and 88-day eligibility.
3. Your profile
You agree that the information you share — including your resume, nationality, visa, languages, and experience — will be:
- True and accurate.
- Yours to share (you have the right to upload it).
- Free of confidential or sensitive third-party information.
You can edit or delete your profile at any time. When you apply for a job, the employer can see the parts of your profile relevant to hiring.
4. Applying for jobs
Applying for a job is a direct expression of interest to the employer. RuralMatch does not guarantee a response, interview, or job offer. We encourage you to:
- Check the employer’s details before applying.
- Read the job description carefully, including pay rate and location.
- Confirm any accommodation, transport, or visa-eligibility details directly with the employer.
5. Your safety — important
Please protect yourself when looking for rural work:
- Never pay anyone to get a job, get visa days signed off, or “hold” a position.
- Never hand over your passport or original ID documents. Show them, don’t give them.
- Confirm that you will be paid at or above the minimum wage (currently set by the Fair Work Commission).
- Ask for a written offer or job description before you travel.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to arrive.
If you experience underpayment, harassment, or exploitation, you have rights. Contact the Fair Work Ombudsman on 13 13 94 (free, confidential, and available in many languages) or visit fairwork.gov.au.
6. Information is general only
Our Harvest Calendar, 88-Day Visa guide, postcode checker, and other resources are general information only and do not replace official Australian Government information. Always confirm visa and tax rules with the appropriate authority.
7. Account suspension
We may suspend or remove your account if you:
- Provide false information or impersonate someone else.
- Apply for jobs in bad faith (spam, fake applications).
- Harass or abuse employers or other users.
- Misuse the Platform in any way that breaches these Terms.
8. Privacy
We treat your personal information with care. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, store, and use your data.
9. Need help?
If something feels wrong, unfair, or unsafe, please tell us. Email info@ruralmatch.com.au or use the contact form. We’re here to help.
